I went to see it last night, however i missed Angelina Jolie's two minutes speech due to f*cking traffic congestion. Only one short movie that almost could bring tear to my eyes. It calls Scavenger. It showed the life of people living and earn their living on the dump-site. There was a single mother who kept lying to her son that his father will come back and bring him a bicycle. So that he could ride the bicycle to school like other kid. However, the truth is that his father will never come back home and no doubt he will not have his new bicycle as his mother couldn't afford it. One day, her mother found a piece of bicycle in the dump-site and then she found other pieces the day after and the next day. One wheel is missing. Then, one day an old female scavenger found that missing wheel and she (mother) saw it. She really wanted to get it. The old woman was really happy as she can get more money from selling it. So she rushed to sell it, but what the mother did. She pushed her cart in the opposite direction and crashed into the old lady cart and the wheel felt down. After that she pretended to grab the wheel hoping that the old lady would not see it. However, the old lady saw it and tried to take it back from her and then the mother just pushed it into the pound hoping that the old lady wouldn't dare to get into the water and retrieve it back. Then she (the mother) just left. As expected, the old lady was afraid and left. At night, the mother came with her flashlight and went down into the water to get the wheel. She was really happy as she has got everything to make a bicycle for her son to go to school. However, what she didn't expect is that when she went to get the wheel. The son woke up and he tried to find her and what he found really make him upset. He found the pieces of the old bicycle. He then ran away from home. He went to a welder's house whom he always frequented. The mother was looking for him and yelling out loud in the village which drew many people to tell her off of yelling in the late night. Then, she brought all those pieces of old bicycle to the welder house and asked him to help her welding those pieces together. Then, she found her son there and she told him the truth. He forgave her and told her that she should had told him before. They reunited and got along well with each other again and he boy rode his bicycle to school with his new uniform and backpack. Finished.
