Haha, came across this guy's blog who lists why he thinks Cambodia is single man's paradise, including Easy Visa, Low Cost Of Living, It’s Easy To Start A Business, Friendly Locals, Khmer Women Are Beautiful, You Can Easily Own A Motorcycle, Is Still Lawless and Has Casinos.

LoL, and he seems a little naive, believing this basic excuse for leaving that he heard from a chick he met in Sihanoukville:

I thought she clearly sounds like a taxi girl, but he doesn't seem to think so.

Take away the boutique hotels and few decent eating places in SR and what are you left with? Yes another shit hole with a nice temple up the road! This is Cambodia, most places can appear the same to some, many shithole areas in PP too if you get out of the city area. FFS the whole place could be called that but we tend to take to charms that we find when looking deeper and forget it's a developing 3rd world country. We choose to live in the place we are at for different reasons, so stop all this childish, arrogant, biased, our football team is better than yours attitude!
I detest SR personally, but some people choose to make a life there so I have to respect those that do! I'm bored to my tits after one day there but I don't take opportunity everytime the place gets a mention to give my thoughts about how crap it is to me or how some of its expats do things I don't like.

most of your reasons are correct except ' Khmer women are beautiful ' . True on the average they are less ugly than Philipinos but very few stunners. Perhaps on the average equal to Thais. Also why would one ever say single man's paradise but it would be much more fitting to say single(or married) females paradise. After all who is getting paid ? Does the girl pay you ? Doubt it. It is paradise for the one who is getting paid certainly NOt the one who has to pay. But aside from that issue the other reasons are valid but ofcourse valid for male or female.

But she does not have to go with anyone who she's feels is undesirable - but can wait for someone more desirable just as the man does not have to go with a female unless he finds her in some way atleast somewhat desirable or attractive.

Also forgot to put reason why it is not anyones paradise - ungodly hot and humid.

Personally, I agree it's a single man's paradise. A married man's paradise too if you're discreet.
