OTC medicine for a head cold ?
My head is stuffed up, sinuses throbbing - I'm trying to remember the name of some over the counter pills I used to buy in a little green packet of 4 pills - starts with P I think. Can't even remeber whats in them paracetamol + ephedrine maybe ? I've only seen them in Cambodia. Cold/flu remedy.
So if anyone knows what I'm talking about or has some other OTC medicine to suggest that would be helpful. Otherwise, I'll have to go and look through all the cupboards at some random chemist. Thanks.

Decolgen(?) Yellow pills do tje job for me. Also good for hangovers. Think they are prescription only in other countries, which must make them good.
Failing that, anything with codiene, and maybe a bit of ephadrine.

Agreed, Decolgen, but don't overdo it, and as UT says, plenty of hydration. I'd slam Royal D's while taking these, they'll dry you out too much.

As the OP is Anchor Moy, I better rephrase that to 'drink plenty of fluids'.Username Taken wrote:Yep, Decolgen.

And, yes, Royal-D twice a day (if not thrice).

Thanks for not laughing. Having a cold is so lame - you know it's not serious, but you still really feel like shit. My head felt like it weighed about 10 kgs this morning.
Pills are working. I'm drinking water and beer also has a high water content. (Managed to rephrase that myself thanks UT.) Noodle soup with chilli clears the sinuses. It can only get better.

Codeine. Why not? It's everywhere.
My fav for colds is the one that comes with 3 yellow pills for daytime and 1 blue pill for bedtime, which I wash down with a Stillnox.
