One trusts none of you violent young gentlemen blinked as the fight started or you will probably have missed the end.

is it fair to say that conor beat him mentally before the fight even started, with all the things he said over the last 11 months?
it was like some kind of jedi mind trick. like he won the fight by saying that he would win it, i mean aldo made a mistake and walked into the punch. but it was conor who broke him and made him nervous enough to try and rush forward early on, causing him to get clocked like that
shame it wasnt more of a spectacle like the Holm Rousey fight last month but fair play to conor

of for sure, you can be defeated before you get in the ring, all part of preparing for a fight isnt just getting fight fit, its being mentally prepared, it plays such a big part, thats how Tyson Fury beat Klitschko the other week, boxing is more of a game of chess than 2 guys kicking the fuck out of each otherclippy wrote:is it fair to say that conor beat him mentally before the fight even started, with all the things he said over the last 11 months?

in the case of Aldo, Conor was winding him up more than trying to convince him he was going to lose, making the fighter more aggressive and careless so they walk onto a perfect punch like that, worked out perfectly
to the armchair fan the fight lasted for 13 seconds, to someone with knowledge of the game the fights been going on all year lol that was just the climax of a fight of mind games and entertainment, and the slaving away in the gym preparing for the fight, the things that go on behind closed doors, the fight is just the final hour of a fight that starts months previous, a fighter dreams of the fight every night before he goes to sleep, already going through every possible outcome, staying focused on training and pushing yourself, the actual fight is the easy part
