Would the poor support a revolution?
The world is ready...
We have been through many revolutions, mostly with negative long-term results.
But it is an undeniable fact that most of humanity is WAY fed up with the way things are going, less than 1% controlling what happens, and motivated by greed and the pornographic love of money, at the expense of innocent people.
So, are we headed for yet another revolution?
Personally, I think it's inevitable.
And soon.

I doubt it very much. WW3 will happen before any worldwide poor people revolution.

What would people take part in a revolution for? Swap capitalism for communism? It's been tried and didn't work very well... a revolution requires something to believe in. I'd bet on WW3 and soon rather than global revolution too...vladimir wrote:The world is ready...

yes, killing is on a post industrial scale now.
It is generally deemed preferable to get the poor to kill each other than kill the rulers.

The poor do not read history, and do not care about long-term results. The rich and powerful have taught them that, at least.TheGrinchSR wrote:What would people take part in a revolution for? Sadly, Vlad throughout history the poor have only ever become involved in a revolution because some middle-class (or higher) toss pot encouraged them to. The middle-classes are the ones you need to convince to get your revolution going and they aren't convinced at the moment.vladimir wrote:The poor do not read history, and do not care about long-term results. Re: Would the poor support a revolution?
I don't think this is true at all. Most human beings are reasonably content and don't angrily obsess about everyone who has more money than they do.vladimir wrote: But it is an undeniable fact that most of humanity is WAY fed up with the way things are going
This is easy to lose sight of though when the angry 1% are making 99% of the posts on a given internet forum.

If everybody is so angry why did they pack up and go home from their Occupy demonstrations?
