Would the poor support a revolution?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

We have been through many revolutions, mostly with negative long-term results.

But it is an undeniable fact that most of humanity is WAY fed up with the way things are going, less than 1% controlling what happens, and motivated by greed and the pornographic love of money, at the expense of innocent people.

So, are we headed for yet another revolution?

Personally, I think it's inevitable.

And soon.

It seems that more than half of the population in Cambodia is starving so of course they would support a Revolution!

No, because bread and circuses. The yoof have fun gadgets for the first time (circuses) and the older peasants remember the war and hard times (bread).

Maybe in 20 years if job growth stagnates and the yoof unemployment grows.

Mr. Rodriguez is correct except you can modify the formula to double the circuses like they did in Portland Oregon
