People all over the UK use the word there is no right/wrong way to say it, yanks also use the word shiv + Shank also

A "Shiv" means to slice... this can be done by taping/tying a razor blade, sharp piece of glass/metal to the end of an object
A "Shank" means to stab... by wearing down the end of an object, like a toothbrush, into a sharp pointed object, with tape wrapped around to give it a bit of a handle, sometimes end up looking like a screwdriver...or lamb "Shank"... you know the traditional British dish?

Please tell them to ban me for one week as a punishment , Actually i wasn't picking on you and i also don't really know you. I was asking a serious question. As i always have been told the calling American Yankee is offensive and i tried not to use it. Then i saw you using a word Yank. So i was interested to find out more how people from different countries would call each other to upset one another. It was my fault to attach my question with your post.
