in English prison it's called a shiv, you been watching too much yank tv.
Yank or Yankee is considered to be offensive word by some American. I wonder if anyone can have make me a list of word as offensive as possible to call all native speaker of English. :stir:

When you send a line prisoners pass stuff from cell to cell, notes ,drugs etc.
Slop out is in the morning when prisoners take their overnight piss and shit bucket to the washroom.
Bang up is whet the screws tell the prisoner when they need them to go back to their cells.
Bubble bees are the prison search and riot team.
To plug something is to stick drugs up your ass for later enjoyment.
Governor is what prisoner call screws when they want to show respect .
Duff is the best dessert in prison severed on a friday with fish and chips.

One more for you :
Narc is another word for grass , unlike America where it is a policeman.

 youve been reading too much google mate....

People all over the UK use the word there is no right/wrong way to say it, yanks also use the word shiv + Shank also

English song about british knife crime

one of englands biggest street gangs is called the Brixton "GAS" gang (Guns and Shanks)

but i suppose this british film about british ganglife is called "Shiv"

if you want to get technical....
A "Shiv" means to slice... this can be done by taping/tying a razor blade, sharp piece of glass/metal to the end of an object
A "Shank" means to stab... by wearing down the end of an object, like a toothbrush, into a sharp pointed object, with tape wrapped around to give it a bit of a handle, sometimes end up looking like a screwdriver...or lamb "Shank"... you know the traditional British dish?

please i dont need educating about british slang...
:tophat: Mean Dtuk Mean Trei, Mean Loy Mean Srey
Punchy McShortstacks School of Hard Knocks :x

Please tell them to ban me for one week as a punishment :ROFL2: , Actually i wasn't picking on you and i also don't really know you. I was asking a serious question. As i always have been told the calling American Yankee is offensive and i tried not to use it. Then i saw you using a word Yank. So i was interested to find out more how people from different countries would call each other to upset one another. It was my fault to attach my question with your post.
