Ned Kelly (American Expat) Reportedly Died in Cambodia
Re: Ned Kelly (American Expat) Reportedly Died in Cambodia
I met Ned st at the newspaper and in the club. I can't believe it. He was not so old as late forties to my eye. A sporting and very bright guy. Great musician... How sad.

Really sad to hear had a chance to photograph him playing bass a few times at some gigs. May his soul find peace

Used to see him play a lot at Sharkys when the Heavy Metal scene was attempting to grow, some ten plus years ago. He was...a character for sure. He lasted a lot longer than I thought he would...he lived as he pleased...which is all we can ask for. RIP

Well, if you're going to be "vague" about it, why post the comment at all?John Bingham wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 1:18 pmFor obvious reasons I was being vague. Doc asked about his age and cause of death. Not what you thought of him personally.

Why does the death of an expat bring out so many dumb comments. Oh, I am offended for Doc67 I must tell everyone.

Re: Ned Kelly (American Expat) Reportedly Died in Cambodia
good write up
A fixture of the Phnom Penh music scene passed away yesterday.
Ned Kelly was well known as the bassist of hardcore bands Blood Bricks, Nightmare A.D., Soselo Summer and Sangvar Day and was and advocate for the underground rock music scene in Cambodia, promoting gigs in Phnom Penh and elsewhere in Cambodia and South East Asia.
His death was announced via the Counterculture Cambodia (Underground/Indie Music) facebook group, of which he was the administrator.
