So what you're saying is they place poles alongside the kerb, which you have to park in between? I've never hit anything while parking, except once when I was 18.
No. The parallel parking is easy. I am talking about reversing into a "garage" as it were. Anyway, I do not want to continue arguing but, as I pointed out, every single person that did the test on their own failed that day.
Obviously Khmer applicants don't have to pass this test.
I was in a Grab Toyoto Prius last night and the driver was incapable of getting the car through a ~10ft gap, even though the front of the vehicle was almost level with the gap. Even motorbikes of both sides of him passing through both gaps did not persuade him that he could easily pass through it. And there we sat until the lights changed.
Precious Prius....

Yes, but unless you look at the tape markers placed in the car and visually look you will not be able to see them as clearly as using the mirrors.

I was one of the people who thought I could drive, I failed and had to do the "walk of shame", plus I was looking at the marshalls as they were not even interested in looking at my ace driving skillz!

I had to park up and walk back!

Luckily I had paid a fixer and she said not to worry. My wife was just shaking her head.

(I also failed the theory!)

They have no spatial awareness.

I often see locals doing a 10 point turn in the middle of the road where it would be quicker and simpler to just drive around the block or drive and reverse up a side alley.

Who's arguing? It certainly isn't me. I'm just trying to clarify the process, that's all. Reversing into a sort of "garage" doesn't sound particularly challenging, but thanks for the heads up.

Who is arguing? You.
You would do well to take a moment, to take in the information provided.
By all means, have a go, your self. But if you think that your personal experience and a little common sense match the lack of transparency and logic, here in Cambodia, then you might want to reconsider your desire to drive. You may well be making some very dangerous assumptions

Lol, now it's you arguing.

Look, I've been driving in Cambodia for years. I'm driving here right now. I simply want a 10 year Iicense, which I'm sure I'll get. I also know how to parallel park.

Those who are saying it's difficult, probably can't drive very well and don't want to admit this to themselves.

What about some of us that have all the licenses in Europe; ABECEDE. Can I just take the bus/ lorry license in KOW and get the others (lower licenses) as a result of that?

Whilst others are too full of themselves. There is also a lack of reading comprehension: I was NOT talking about parallel parking, that one is easy.

No,

B doesn't allow A for instance (car license (B) not valid for motorcycle [A]).
