If the parents don't really like the guy, a price like this might be used to scare him.away. 25k isn't ridiculous but it's also not a price parents come up with regularly. Unless we know more about this case it's all wild guesses.

Well I had no reason not to trust a random drunk in a rundown bar on Victory Hill giving free advice 18 years ago.

I seem to remember also giving free advice after midnight to other drunks.

Who says that you can not learn anyting from going to the hill.

The last advice I got from a guy that was drunk was to make shure my balls are shaved during sex and join the marines. Not bad advice

It's very promiscuous in even places as backwater as Kampot, and many girls live with their boyfriends now as they go to places like KPS for work.

In my personal experience? Khmer are some of the horniest people I ever met who take an almost impulsive approach to sex, which leads to all sorts of crazy scenarios that generally just don't happen with the same frequency as they once did in the West.
