bowing is common in nearly all cultures globally, i think the curtsy originated in the west though, where men bowed women curtsied instead

It seems there is plenty of greeting in the western style. So westerners won't mind us the way we greet them?

yes were pretty open to it, there are quite a few different ways to greet, with all the hand shaking and/or double kissing the cheeks etc, with how multi cultral most of europe is now, most individuals greet in their own way and they dont neccisarly have to be from that culture/country to do it

I just felt confused with their greeting because I met different people and they greeted different ways, shake hands ,kiss the cheeks, hug and kiss hands. It depends on where they are from and the relationship between us and them. Now I get it. Thank you that you told us detail about it.

yeah i felt the same first coming to asia, so many different things to think about when i first came over but most now i even carry on to do when ever i visit england, things that now feel weird in england due to living in asia like, seeing people walking around the streets with their shirts off, people not taking their shoes off or pointing their feet at you etc haha
