Immigration app

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Immigration app

Post by Bill Shakey »

Afternoon all

Just made my first attempt at using the immigration app. I found it quite convoluted but then with me anything techno that can go wrong usually does. I'm not even sure it's done everything. There was no comfirmation it had uploaded my photo. I was then asked for payment by card with a USD7 "processing fee". I'm not prepared to pay electronically especially if they sting you for processing whatever that means and will pay by cash over the counter at the airport. I'm certainly not entereing my card details in the system. The app now tells me my profile is "drafted" which to me may mean something quite different to what the Cambodian authorities think it means. I'm fully expecting to get to PP and be asked to do it all over again. But then again maybe it'll be breeze. Who knows?

Are you sure you used the original app?

I used the website two weeks ago an no fees were asked. Major red flag.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

To whom it may concern: The #1 attraction is ease of entry and ease of stay. Don't f it up.

Post a link to the website you used.

It may be a man-in-the-middle site that adds fees that could be avoided if you use the correct government application app.

As far as I'm aware, the FPCS app is something that your landlord has to deal with? Expats just need to make sure that their landlord has put them on the system?

I'm about to renew my visa, and I asked my landlord to update my 'length of stay' as it's been over a year since he put me on it. He told me he can't remember the password to log in.

I always use 'Call Kim' for these matters. I messaged her on Telegram to tell her my landlord can't remember the password for the app, and she told me not to worry. It's not an issue. I just need to arrange the normal employment documents from my employer.

I think he is talking about the E-Arrival app/website that replaced the paper forms we used to fill in.

I used it yesterday for my arrival on 12th, it ask a lot of things, but found out the things without a red asterix are not compulsary. Also your profile foto doesnt need to be "passport-confirmed", i did mine just after waking up looking as a drunk crackhead but the foto was good for it. Strange thing happened when they asked arrival date, could only go 6 days ahead, not 7. I clicked on the 11th even i will arrive on 12th. And everything was good for it, curious the QR-code will dissapear on my phone when i arrive or not next week !!

I'll be arriving at the end of October. I haven't downloaded the app yet, (maybe I should) but I'm aware that's the new process. I don't remember every having to supply a "passport-confirmed" photo every for the "custom declaration" from.

I'm confused! What the story with this profile "passport-confirmed" photo?
