What are your favourite hangover cures ?
Re: What are your favourite hangover cures ?
Kiwi/Aussie slang...
EDIT: maybe not just limited to Kiwi/Aussie slang... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_of_the_dog"Hair of the dog" is a colloquial expression in the English language predominantly used to refer to alcohol that is consumed with the aim of lessening the effects of a hangover.

'Hair of the dog' undoubtedly is effective, but it just delays the ultimate outcome. I far prefer the pain, self loathing, and delusional oaths to myself of "never again" ! It sometimes takes me a week to break my oath.

I used to scoff Royal D as nothing but sugar water, but we buy it by the carton now. I truly do wish the nationals didn't consider it as 'medicine' though. I suppose given the prevalence of dehydration that it may appear to be magic powder.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:What the hell is "the hair of a dog"? Ive found hydration to be the only solution. I only recently started trying out the Royal D, and I do think it makes a difference both before bed and upon waking up.

^^I've seen it, what is it exactly? Is it more "sports water" or "electrolyte drink"? My wife and I work outside often and get dehydrated extremely fast so we're looking for something to ward off our frequent "non alcoholic hangovers".

Never have hangovers!

It's an electrolyte drink. It is really helpful in the hot season or after a good walk when water just doesn't quench that thirst.AE86 wrote:^^I've seen it, what is it exactly? ^^Thanks for that!
Think I might have a go. I used to think all those rehydration drinks were sugar water and such, but I think I'll grab a box in PP when I get in.
