The Gender madness
I’m sure that even the most delinquent, isolationist of dank hole living trolls will be aware of the growing worldwide madness surrounding gender confusion. But something struck me as particularly fucked up, yesterday.
At a kiddies indoor soft play area (UK), there was a little girl, (could have been a boy, I suppose, wearing pink, with a pony-tail, and looking for all intents and purposes like any other young girl of that age) with a unisex name, who had a tendency towards extreme indecision, and then would get upset on a frequent basis- mostly about the rougher boys.
About 5years old, at most; same as Freightdog junior.
The other kids for the most part, thought the kid was a girl- the boys were typically boys, and slightly boisterous, the girls were typically girls, and a little more caring. They tried, as kids do, to be inclusive in their way, and yet she didn’t really want to reciprocate.
This kid’s grandmother kept referring to her as He. ‘Leave him alone’ the grandmother would protest, if the boys were a bit rough, or ‘He’s always like this’, ‘he’s always doing things like this’ were the apologetic comments from ‘nanna’.
Initially, I thought she (the kid) must have had a brother in there, playing, too. But no, as closing time approached, it became apparent that this kid was the only one belonging to that family.

Re: The Gender madness
Well, not to be a one upsman … but in San Francisco had a case where the kid identified as a cat. Parents sued the school district and won the case. Now schools must provide litter boxes for kids who identify as cats! #sickworld

What's your point? Some kids really do have gender issues, you know. But you, the master of human behaviour, can judge in an hour of two.Freightdog wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 5:35 pm I’m sure that even the most delinquent, isolationist of dank hole living trolls will be aware of the growing worldwide madness surrounding gender confusion. What if people had difficulties deciding if Freightdog junior were a boy or a girl, and you would call him (them?) a boy?

5 year old kids do not have gender issues, they're just kids. If the kid was born wi a winkie down there, call it 'he'. If not, y'know, go for 'she'.

You’re either being deliberately obtuse (from past experience, not outside the bounds of possibility), or you are exactly the sort of teacher that is causing many concerns on the matter, and requiring many otherwise clear thinking adults to take disproportionate care, lest they upset your ‘progressive’ views at their own child’s expense.Kammekor wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 9:08 pmWhat's your point? Re: The Gender madness
I remember a boy I went to school with. I'm no spring chicken so this was back in the day, long before political correctness and people being offended by everything. The word 'woke' was still a past tense verb, usually precipitated by an alarm clock or rooster.
We were probably around 7 or 8 at the time, so we were all too young to know about transgenders, gays etc. The boy was very obviously different. He had all the mannerisms of a girl. He walked like a girl, acted like a girl - he was the odd kid at school who didn't seem to fit in anywhere because while the boys were all playing typical boy's games where we'd tackle each other, or hit cricket balls around, he wasn't. Maybe he was off with the girls doing whatever they did in the breaks, I don't know.
I barely noticed him at the time, other than that he was there, not really like the rest of us, and he was one of the kids we used to call the 'sad' kids - the kids that didn't fit in and seemed to have no friends, or would have parents going through a divorce and find themselves having to call someone else 'Dad', or would be going through some other life drama that would cause them to start crying in class sometimes. I have no doubt that the boy, if he's still alive, is a gay adult now and probably thinks of himself as female.
As a teacher, I occasionally saw those kids in my classes. Nobody can tell me they were trying to act like a girl for attention because they were miserable kids. Kids don't try to be the loner that gets picked on, they want to fit in.
It's a real thing, people like that exist. There might be some fucked up parents encouraging their kids to be trans or whatever - it's something I've never seen, and I think it mostly exists in social media - but it probably does happen. But, some kids are just born different. Sort of like the X percent who are born left-handed, until recently they were often reviled too, and forced to be 'normal' and use their right hand when it obviously wasn't natural to them.
I admit, I can't really think of people as female/male if they don't have the organs that go with their supposed gender. If you have a dick, you're a boy, you have a vag you're a girl. Maybe you should have been a girl and in your mind you are a girl, everything about you other than your dick is female - and that's a damn shame but you had the bad luck to be born in the wrong body.
So, I understand how people have issues with the whole transgender thing.
Treating those people as being some sort of modern, woke (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean) attention seeker is misguided though, IMO.
Granted, there's the chance they have weirdo parents, but it's also very possible they're kids who were born that way.
I don't really know what to make of it, other to accept that some people are just like that and leave them be.
Any adult who decides to bully, or persecute someone - especially a kid - because they don't approve of how they dress or whatever is just a wanker. (Not suggesting anyone here is doing that.)
