Attack on Mexican Embassy

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Strategically, it seems like a last resort to go in at 22:00 and storm an embassy like that. A tricky bit of precedent, as the video points out.
That's how bad they wanted to arrest Glas and get him in custody. (willing to take the risk of upsetting the diplomatic applecart)

How did police storm an embassy? I imagine Khmer traffic cops attacking the US embassy in Phnom Penh. Don’t see them getting in.

😆
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

There are police then there are police
Do you think the PM bodyguard unit could get in?

They aren't police, they are an army unit.

Splitting hairs. From what I saw on TV, the police that kicked in the doors weren't exactly you average coppers either.

Regarding types of police, I’ve never known a country with so many types and categories of police.
It’s baffling.
Traffic police, immigration police, MoI police (many of whom appear to be security guards), sangkat police, ‘quick response’ police, man with a walkietalkie police, Tuktuk police, tourist police, I have a special number plate on my car police, royal police, condom police, ‘I’m not yet police but want to be so I’ll direct traffic in midday heat’ police
They all have different uniforms and rigidly stick to their own jobs.

Selling drugs mate? Nah, I’m traffic police - not my responsibility.

Well, dah, maybe you just realized we're living in a police state? Haha 😂
