20-litre water bottles delivery in Kampot
20-litre water bottles delivery in Kampot
Anyone got a contact for delivery of those big water bottles in Kampot, please?
I'm by the Durian Roundabout and the only place I can find that sells them wants $5.
I've just spent the last 2 years in Siem Reap and never paid more than $1 so I think she may have been charging me a foreigner tax!

Question
Do you have the same water bottle she has already? The five dollars is just a deposit, you'll get it back once you return it, otherwise it's still a 4000-5000 riel to exchange it

Re: 20-litre water bottles delivery in Kampot
I was getting the giant bottles delivered to me for 3,000 reil ,
So I quit that brand and graduated to a different brand that costs 5,000
Jasmine.
If it costs more , it must be better , right ?
I don’t trust any of them , I still boil it all !

Usually they use (illegal) water pumped from a depth of 50-80 meters from drilled wells, but in the rainy season some of them use collected rain water as well.
None of these sellers use any form of purified water. Boosts your immune system I guess.
To the OP, I guess they assumed you didn't have an empty bottle to hand them over in exchange, hence the higher price.

Buy a water filter for $25. It's one of the best investments you'll ever make. Never run out of water and never wrestle with one of those water bottles again.

I've got a bottle, but it's a different one so I don't think she'd accept that.
Now that you've told me it's usually 4/5000 Riel for the water, I'll give her another try later, thanks.
