Sporting goods stores

Post by Fridaywithmateo »

Are there any sports equipment stores here, say similar to Sports Authority or Big 5 in California?

Need a regulation basketball backboard/hoop/net.

Decathlon in Aeon2 is probably your best bet. There are some sports shops along the west side of Olympic Stadium, but I think they tended more towards clothes & smaller gear like table tennis bats, badminton racquets, etc. Haven't been in years, Decathlon had everything I wanted nowadays.

Yep, Decathlon has basketball hoops and related stuff https://www.decathlon.com.kh/en/1052-basketball-hoops

They have big store also in Aeon Mean Chey. Smaller stores near train station and in Aeon 1 that carry mainly clothes and small sports equipment.

And they have an online service with free delivery in Phnom Penh if I recall well.

The Aeon 2 store should be able to receive Click & Collect orders like they do at the outlet stores in Thailand. You just have to wait for the product to arrive.
