putin interview

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

eh... if only Instagram, Facebook, Gorf.Tube.... :(((
Today in Russia there are 1,646,437 entries in the Register of Prohibited Sites.
you understand?
more than one and a half million sites are banned in Russia!
Now this is called Internet Freedom? :)

What exactly can be characterised as "insane" here? Even if one disagrees with his recollection of Eastern European history, it's not like he was rambling unhinged or making rootless, insane, non-sequitur statements like US President Joe Biden and Boris Johnson (Sunaka is rather milquetoast to be honest) are both fond of. So what exactly by comparison is "insane"?

Or is this just more Western presstitute hyperbole?
Which "Eastern" journalists are not presstitutes?

Did you even click your own link? Nearly all of them (many of which aren't even banned by the federal government, but regional governments) are related to pornography, online gambling, pimping, scams, pill mills, etc. Relatively few are related to LGBT topics, but then countries like Germany, Australia etc. also censor extremist content so what is the big difference? Suicide from what I know is also censored.

Almost none are actually related to politics; Major Western propaganda clearing houses (e.g, AP, BBC, Washington Post, et. al.) are unblocked, as is Twitter; Youtube remains unblocked. Only criticism of the military is really, truly forbidden.

yes, of course I opened this site. :)
of course I didn't mean the porn-drug-suicide-suicidal-witchcraft-fraud sites.
if you look carefully at the table of blocked sites, you will see the table setting at the top.
click on "All authorities"
most of the sites blocked by "Roskomnadzor" and "Genprokuratura" are just political sites against the war and the current government in the country.
by the way, you will not find on the internet a complete register of banned sites - this is also not favoured by the supervising authorities. :)))

Apparently Vlad was disappointed in Tucker’s interview, thought he was a little soft and was expecting more from a Western journalist.

Apparently he didn’t realize Tucker isn’t a real journalist and was probably too scared to be too confrontational with him.

Which a cursory review demonstrates (if you add gambling content) are almost 99.8% of the websites on the list. Very few are resolutely political, and again, what would be the purpose of political censorship if they're gonna do a half-arsed job and leave up their enemies' propaganda (e.g, BBC, Associated Press, France24, etc.)?

if you look carefully at the table of blocked sites, you will see the table setting at the top.

No I'm not seeing it. Most of the websites banned by Roskomnadzor appear to be pornographic in nature (and the prosecutor general only bans websites that violate federal laws pertaining to drug content etc. or to comply with a court order).

by the way, you will not find on the internet a complete register of banned sites - this is also not favoured by the supervising authorities. :)))
So why give me a list of ~1,600,000 pornographic/drug/scam websites banned in Russia if you admit that isn't even an adequate smoking gun, as you now claim that the authorities have a secret list which none of us can see? If we're not allowed to see it, why bring it up as a point of evidence? We don''t even know what is on it!

Meanwhile, I can't even access RT News anywhere in the European continent...

Really? They block it or they don't broadcast it?
