Re: putin interview
What I read is that critics of Putin are simply name-calling and 'racist" is on the checklist. Got it.

Re: putin interview
That's very mean of them. It's awful how so many people have been fooled by propaganda into thinking he's not a nice guy. Some of them even believe he assassinates his opponents with poison and plane crashes. The poor guy just keeps gets bad press. It's a witch hunt.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
Re: putin interview
Assuming this is sarcasm. Prigozhin was guilty of treason, he could have been charged and arrested. So why kill a bunch of innocent people on the plane (including the two pilots) plus potentially people on the ground? I'm not ruling it out, but I consider it very unlikely.John Bingham wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 5:50 pm That's very mean of them. Re: putin interview
Why do so many Russian oligarchs and generals fall out of windows? I'm not ruling out that it's just a huge coincidence.

Although I do consider Tucker Carlson a <insert expletive> I always wondered whether the background of the conflict was also at least tangentially related to the fact that every Russian knows the myhths and is proud of their folk-hero and most famous of the three bogatyr Ilya Moromets, set in times of Kievan Rus.

Because they are essentially mafia. When a mafia member gets killed in the US, people don't blame the US government.John Bingham wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 11:21 pm Why do so many Russian oligarchs and generals fall out of windows? I'm not ruling out that it's just a huge coincidence.

Not ruling out that the Russian government wasn't behind it though. But as in any conspiracy theory, one needs proof.
Incidentally, after the coup in Kiev in 2014 a lot of MPs fell out of their balconies as well.
Re: putin interview
I've spoken to many Russians and they do not know the complete history of Russia or why Russia is even called Russia. Russia was actually founded in present Kiev by Rus Vikings (Swedish Vikings). The Ukrainian "nationalists" and nazis believe they are Slavic people descended from Slavs and Vikings. Whilst Russians are subhuman intermixed with Asian people, mostly Mongols.Flexxman wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 11:53 pm Although I do consider Tucker Carlson a <insert expletive> I always wondered whether the background of the conflict was also at least tangentially related to the fact that every Russian knows the myhths and is proud of their folk-hero and most famous of the three bogatyr Ilya Moromets, set in times of Kievan Rus.

Essentially the conflict is about this very issue. Which is nonsensical because all Ukrainians speak Russian. But Nazis are not known for being smart.

WOW! That’s truly fascinating that you are able to give people history lessons about their own country. I’m sure they were grateful to meet you so they could learn their history.hmph wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 1:49 amI've spoken to many Russians and they do not know the complete history of Russia or why Russia is even called Russia. Re: putin interview
Today, my close friend from Russia was at the city cemetery and sent photos and videos of the daily funerals of Russian soldiers who died in Ukraine.
he said that this funeral conveyor works non-stop and funeral cars with coffins stand in line in front of the cemetery gates, waiting for the funeral team to be free for the next burial.
These photos and videos lead to the question: do Russians support Putin and do they want war?

other than fleeing ( lots to thailand)
do they have a choice???
Any wonder why so many young familes are leaving with their kids rather than fight an unjust war
i compare it with the youngsters in the states in 68/69 fleeing, rather than going to fight in Vietnam

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
