Dave Does Cambodia needs your help

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Sad.

Just 6 days ago he posted on:
"Here Are Some Things To Avoid In Cambodia!"

I guess he missed the most important one to avoid: run out of money.

I don't know how he's survived since the vid. He was doing some teaching before that. He needs to get down to PP and get himself an $8 an hour teaching gig.

The fact that a device is vibrating in the background, and that he sounds pissed as a pudding mean a "Hell No" from me!!

We used to be good buddies .. for a few years now ..
I don’t think he is allowed to teach any more , he came on a business visa and used to teach .
but then he got older and on the retirement visa he couldn’t ( can not according to it ) teach
I’m not really sure , since I stopped being beered up from morning until happy hour and beyond
- I moved from that place to a new place not easy to find , far away from that area he walks around
I used to scold him for buying 50¢ cawfees and leaving all that plastic waste at my house
…and making a mess whenever he came by for a beer in my recycleable cans
and because of things haven’t invited him over to it sooo
I haven’t invited him over for “popcorn “ 🍿 in nearly a year .
sad I hope he pulls thru , I like him ..
P.S. “The fact that a device is vibrating in the background “ , had me wondering also
I thought it was at my place , not his ..

Given the comments on Youtube, it seems he's a good enough chap to be gathering by spontaneous donations enough money to make it, during the last 24h.
Good for him, that's good karma indeed.

Takes a humble soul to ask like that. Hope he solves whatever got him there. I'll pitch in $20 spot. Life can throw some nasty curve balls sometimes.

At the beginning of the video is he saying that he has about a year and a half to start getting his “own employment” or “unemployment”?

He seems to be a good enough and genuine guy, but he did quit his job and sell everything he had and moved half way around the world to essentially become an e-beggar. No Plan B, C, D, or E.

I guess you could call that either brave or it irresponsible.
