Entering Cambodia w/ pending criminal charges

Post by BklynBoy »

For some reason I thought I saw this discussed but couldn't find it. I have a friend who may come w/ me and he is asking about entering Cambodia w/ pending criminal charges.

He is a U.S. Citiizen, has his passport. There was nothing about Bail or anything as far as I know.

I think there is nothing on Visa form asking about criminal history but if he applied in advance for a visa- would it make a difference?
His criminal charge is not murder/rape or anything violent

He just needs to return for the next court date- Obviously

I assume no but wanted to ask here

appreciate

It depends on his bail conditions. Maybe if he leaves and comes back in time it'll be fine? I don't know, but whatever you do don't encourage him to become a fugitive.

I was thinking similar. He said he was gonna ask his lawyer about it but def would be back before his next court appearance.

If your saying depends on bail conditions--- thats also what was curious.

On the Cambodia side-- I am under the impression they can care less and probably don't even check anything to see if incoming passengers have criminal pending charges. If someone had a warrant then that may get someone clipped up but that is not the case

No fugitive lol

Good advice, there is enough of that kind in the Kingdom.

Your "friend" has the potential to become a minor celebrity should his trip here take a certain path...

Come to Cambodia
Love it
Decide to stay
Get wasted and into an altercation involving ladies of the night
Run low on funds
Forget about visa's
Start a gofundme
Etc etc

All while documenting his downward spiral on this forum

Get that man a ticket and a beer at the first girlie bar you find.... It's going to be awesome!!

Yeas , I would worry even asking a question like that ,
Spies 🕵️‍♂️ and trackers are everywhere , … hidden cameras
Yesturdday I had to verify by code for ( by phone ) some BS
( forgot and had to re set my password for Facebook or for messenger 🤷🏼‍♂️
and asked for my phone number , I had to think for a minute
then put the wrong number down but they sent a code to the number I gave
Then emails and alerts for everything started to flash on every screen
That my phone number was now being used for an other different account .
They are definitely spying 🕵️‍♂️

If your out on Bail , i would contact your lawyer as to future travel plans
in my bad past, whenever i was on bail, i was not allowed to leave the state, ( which i ignored) much less the country, without asking the court

there is nothing red flagged thou, pre conviction.

Maybe he could spend some time on Bali and then just claim he is dyslexic?
