Also, we don't know who you are and you could be after him for nefarious reasons. You could say you are his pet cat and we have no way of knowing so don't expect any messages of his location anytime soon.

I also see you are posting on FB anonymously about this person. Why would you do that if you are family?

i’m not revealing my identity for this exact reason. so random people across multiple platforms don’t know who exactly i am and where im from. I’m also
not in cambodia right now, im from the states. i was just trying to assist my family through social networking. i made sure to post his original post with all of his contact information so people don’t try to go through me with information, as i am pretty uninvolved being so far away. if you don’t want to help then don’t help! I understand the weariness of this, i just really do want to protect my privacy and not give out way too much information.

Head to the local Sangkat police wherever you are and report him missing with all the above info. The boys in khaki are damned good at finding their man given the right 'incentive'.

Sounds like a major twat if his family came out to Cambodia to help him and he ditched them.

Maybe he needs to learn his lesson.

he is an adult.

you are not wrong. they are trying to find him for his safety, he recently has been having some major mental health and addiction issues and is not fit to be on the streets. at the minimum, they want to find him and give him some practical things to get by, before they have to return to the states.

Sounds like he's going to Thailand, maybe he doesn't want to go home? If the family came and saw him for one day, mental illness or not he obviously doesn't want to be with them.

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you, but it seems that his severe mental health status is the driving force behind the need to find him, which is understandable.

To the op - I can't think of anything else to add that hasn't already been said. Seems like a pretty bad time for your family. I hope you find him soon.
