Seems Yemen might be drawn into the war

Post by phuketrichard »

Yemen’s Houthis warn they will target all Israel-bound ships in Red Sea
The Iran-linked rebels warn to block passage of Israel-bound ships of any nationality unless Gaza gets the food and medicines it needs.

Yemen’s Houthi movement says it will target all ships heading to Israel, regardless of their nationality, and warned all international shipping companies against dealing with Israeli ports.

“If Gaza does not receive the food and medicines it needs, all ships in the Red Sea bound for Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality, will become a target for our armed forces,” the group’s spokesperson said in a statement on Saturday.

Netanyahu tells Biden Israel will act militarily against Yemen's Houthis if US won't: report
so now they are telling the US ( who has vetoed a ceasefire for Israel) and the Biden administration has used an emergency authority to sell about 14,000 tank shells to Israel without congressional review.
what to do?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has allegedly told President Biden that his country will act militarily against Yemen's Houthi movement if the United States fails to do so, according to a report by Israeli publication N12News.

The Iran-aligned group has been harassing Israeli and U.S. forces in the Middle East since the start of Israel's war with Hamas

The Houthis are another Iranian backed group, along with Hamas and Hezbollah. Not all that surprising. Iran is allied with Russia. All very convenient to take attention away from Ukraine.

Well, they went into Israel (Freudian slip?),
However, didn’t you comment recently about how certain events had taken focus away from Burma/Myanmar?

Many Yemeni people have been suffering, for too long now. Their neighbor, Oman, seems to have its shit together, though. Reuters, AP, BBC, NHK Japan, and even CNA Singapore (inter alia) have been covering this story. Who exactly is "the West," as you are using that term?

I'm talking about geopolitics, Meanwhile people like yourself are falling for Islamic extremist emotional propaganda and missing the bigger picture.

Yemen would be a great place to test some new long-range weaponry. Nobody gives a fuck about those fucks.

From what I've seen, there isn't much left there to blow up.
