Speeding Chinese Man Hits Lamp Post in Phnom Penh with Range Rover and Flees
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A traffic accident occurred on November 10, 2023, at 10:30 pm along the concrete road in Sangkat Kraing Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh. A Range Rover, driven by a foreign man (identified as Chinese in some local media), was reported to have been speeding along the road when the vehicle veered too far off the road, ultimately colliding with a lamp post, causing the lamp post to fall over.
Eyewitnesses observed the grey Range Rover with license plate Phnom Penh 2BO-1388 traveling at high speed in the west-to-east direction before abruptly turning right and striking a lamp post. The impact caused a street light to fall over and the Range Rover sustained significant damage to the front. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene.
Subsequently, the local authority of Kraing Thnong Sangkat Administrative Police Station conducted an inspection of the scene and engaged the municipal traffic officer to measure and document the wreckage in preparation for vehicle recovery. The Phnom Penh Municipal Police Traffic Office is awaiting the car owner's arrival to address the situation.
