Nasty skin rash treatment needed - pref Kampot
A mate has come out in a nasty rash
"I need a Dr or clinic ASAP for a skin rash. Third day and getting worse. Benadryl and Zyrtec, antifungal ointment not helping it."
"FUCK this shit is much worse and now around my right eye.
What should I do?"
"I think from the antibiotic Cipro"
He tried 3 diff creams incl miconazole nitrate
Helpful suggestions welcomed

I'd go to the city hospital, unless there is competent people in Kampot.
1% hydrocortizone cream for treatment, aloe vera for soothing would be my guess, but i'm no specialist, so....
Any pics ?
Good luck

Ah, it doesn't look as bad as i imagined
Does it itch / scratch a lot ? And the eye, how close, how bad ?
Hopefully there's a doctor in the (chat)room ?
Calling @Doc67, if he's indeed a doc !
I was thinking about vinegar because i put some on nettle burns and mosquitoes bites, but again, not a doc.
And hoping trying creams after creams and else doesn't worsen the symptoms too by opposing effects...
Spoiler:

"Clinic OK. But, 31$ to tell me keep doing what you're doing. And heart out of rythm. She gave me parasite cleanse, too"
Anyone also know whether USA federal medical insurance, can be used where in Cambodia?

Has he been to the well-known Pharmacies Chamrouen Chanlida next to Max's Italian restaurant on the river road near the Old Bridge?
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Pharm ... ?entry=ttu
or the UCARE Pharmacy near the tents and Darawin Minimart?
https://www.google.com/maps/place/UCare ... ?entry=ttu
Both of those are walk-in pharmacies where you can go in and talk to the helpful English-speaking staff.

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

If there are no places in Kampot, tell your friend to get on a bus to Phnom Penh and go to a recognized hospital. If it is shingles and it's around the eye, then that can have serious consequences.
If your friend has decent health insurance he should be able to contact his insurer for advice and referral to a suitable treatment place.

Re: Nasty skin rash treatment needed - pref Kampot
I got that awhile back when I went to Pp
That’s when i got it. Looks the same
I thought the cause was the room my servant booked but google did not confirm that
Google “rash” and take a pick , you will see what caused it ..
The pharmacist gave me some cream and some pills
The pills did the trick , after 5 days of pills , one more 5 day round and it went away
also Got some good itchy powder too I still use it .
You wouldn’t believe my latest malady

Well, they'd probably know which clinic is best if he needs special treatment.
I've seen this place, Kampot Khemra Clinic, recommended on the Kampot Noticeboard on Facebook but have fortunately not had to go there, so don't know personally if they're good or not, or what they can treat.

It's on the road to Kep on the lefthand side.
If he's on Facebook, he should post on some of the Kampot-related pages/groups for more input/recommendations.
