Hopefully be alive.

Actually want to still be alive after surgery tomorrow. If I’m lucky. If I don’t stroke out, have a heart attack or a million other things that could go wrong. And take 2 months to recover enough to drive.

I am reminded of a few dear old mates who have passed. Both in their 80s. Friends have commented "I hope I live to my 80s like they did" and I say that those guys did not get here in their 40s and 50s like us but in their 70s!

Average age of expat deaths is 56.5 or something.
