Postal code for SWIFT Transfer to ABA
Hi all,
I'm trying to do a SWIFT transfer into an ABA account, but I'm unable to find the postal code for the ABA Head Office at 148 Preah Sihanouk Blvd, Phnom Penh.
I can see it's (probably) in Chamkarmon, but not sure if it falls under BKK1 or Olympic, or something else?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Postal code for SWIFT Transfer to ABA
Best solution, go to that ABA and ask.
100% correct code.
Everything else is a guess.

I always fill in 0000 when I do a transfer to ACLEDA.lightydark wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:20 pm Hi all,

Re: Postal code for SWIFT Transfer to ABA
As far as I know, all SWIFT go through their head office and the SWIFT code is ABAAKHPP. Further to that, the beneficiary (you) account number, full name and address. The address ABA provided me with (for incoming SWIFT payments) didn't have a postcode. I opened my account at Central Market branch, but all SWIFT still go through the head office. If your bank insists on something put in the "postcode" box, just put 12345 or 00000. It won't make any difference.lightydark wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:20 pm Hi all,

Make sure you put your name (as beneficiary) in the same order as ABA do. E.G. Smith John Paul etc.
Hope this helps
Re: Postal code for SWIFT Transfer to ABA
I'm using 120102, which is the post code for BKK1, which is the Sangkat where ABA Bank's website says their head office is located.
Whether that is right or just doesn't matter, I have no idea. It works.

Re: Postal code for SWIFT Transfer to ABA
I've never had to provide a postcode for SWIFT transfers
https://www.ababank.com/swift-transfers/
But, in case you do actually need it, the Head Office, which is the address for all SWIFT transfers, is in Sangkat BKK1, postcode 120102.

Forgot to say thank you for all the replies.
It seems that the transfer would have worked without one, but I am using the one listed above without any problems.

Re: Postal code for SWIFT Transfer to ABA
One foible of ABA is that there is no zip/postal code in account profiles. My go-to website for hotel bookings requires this info to be entered when paying by card, haven't found a way round it yet to use my ABA card.

The way around it is to enter whatever-the-fuck-you-feel-like into that field & it works
