She’s got more than 130,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts photos of her globetrotting adventures. Her makeup is always impeccable, her clothes look straight off the runway. She sings, dances and models – and none of it is real. Rozy is a South Korean “virtual influencer,” a digitally rendered human so realistic she is often mistaken for flesh and blood.
"Apart from being cheaper, virtual celebrities have other advantages over human ones. “They don’t complain” and firms “don’t have to worry about them ruining their reputation”, says Kim Sang-kyun from Kangwon National University in Gangwon province". *
"She" earns over $1.5 million a year, and there are already hundreds of them."virtual influencers never age, tire or invite controversy." **

I’m not sure which is more reassuring- either bombing each other into oblivion, or engineering our own slow fizzling out.
One thing, though- a future, dominant, sentient, technological replacement for us are probably going to be better informed about why we aren’t here anymore, and how. Unlike our own pondering of the pyramids, and other gaps in our self-knowledge.

haha yeah they'll figure us (humans) out in a new york minute. Just observe our bunglings while we destroy ourselves (in numerous ways) and take good notes. Don't make the same mistakes we did!

"Never invite controversy"? Controversial by nature. Also boring without scandal. All this crap will pass, imo.

I'm sure it will pass as well, but not until we see more of them first, or until they stop bringing in profits.siliconlife wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 10:53 am "Never invite controversy"? Controversial by nature. Also boring without scandal. All this crap will pass, imo.

This super smart AI science guru said on one of Joe Rogan's podcasts a few years ago that as soon as AI reaches a certain point in the self learning curve, the quantum or compound rate of technology knowledge acquired will reach a 50,000 tear advance in a single human generation. That really blew my mind ...Freightdog wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 1:01 pm I’m not sure which is more reassuring- either bombing each other into oblivion, or engineering our own slow fizzling out.
