Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The specialized forces of the Anti-Drug Department, General Commission of National Police, Ministry of Interior, have finally arrested a drug trafficker who was on the run from the law for more than 5 years, and had 7 warrants out for his arrest, and officers seized nearly 3 kg of methamphetamine and MDMA, and two hand grenades.

On the afternoon of October 8, authorities that the Anti-Drug Department's specialized forces cooperated with the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Police Force in the arrests of drug traffickers who were active in Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom and Phnom Penh.
On October 7, 2023 at 13:30, three suspects were arrested at a rented house in Ko Chambok village, Sangkat Choam Chao 1, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh:
1. Khun Sam Ath, alias Smith, male, 44 years old, Cambodian, the mastermind who has up to 7 warrants out for his arrest between 2017 to 2022.
2. Name: Ngen Dalin, female, 34 years old, Khmer (wife of the ringleader).
3. Name: Neang Sovanra, Male, 44 years old, Nationality: Khmer .
Police seized blue and red ecstasy (MDMA) packs and 16,400 methamphetamine (WY) tablets, (nearly 3kgs of total weight), 1 drug scales, 2 grenades, 1 weapon and ammunition, 5 mobile phones, 1 car, 2 motorcycles.

In this case, the Anti-Drug Department is preparing to build a case to send the perpetrators to Phnom Penh Munipal Court.
