Cambodia News, (Kandal Province): A tragic event erupted in Po Smart village, Kandal province, on the morning of the 6th October 2023, when a mother and her child were found murdered in their home. The prime suspect in the case is the woman's estranged husband, Men Sam Ang, male, 36 years old.

According to the Cheung Keb commune administrative post chief, prior to yesterday's incident, the victim had filed for divorce at the commune hall, but the procedure was not yet complete. The husband was jealous and did not want the divorce; then, on the morning of October 6, it was reported that the mother and child had been found dead, victims of murder.


Sources from the police said that the suspect has been identified as the victim's husband and father of the child, Men Sam Ang, 36 years old, a village guard. The victims are Khoeun Sreyleak, aged 30, and her daughter is Oeun Chanseima, a 2-year-old girl.

The suspect is being sought by police and is currently on the run.

ARRESTED

The male suspect in the brutal murder of his wife and child has been arrested.

MEN Samang a 36 year old male was arrested at about 2.15pm trying to escape to Thailand.

Cambodia News, Kandal Province: A bloodthirsty murderer who used a machete to kill his wife and 2-year-old daughter two days ago has now been arrested by the Kandal Provincial Police in Poipet City on the 7 October 2023.


Concerning this brutal murder, which was committed on October 6, 2023 at 6:00am at Po Smart Village, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province, the neighbors of the couple say that in the past the suspect was violent toward his wife and children; he often argued, hit his wife, and threatened to kill his family.

Sometimes I can't help but feel that this live and let live attitude goes a bit far.

I wish they'd post the arrest pictures without the stupid ass blur or emojis, I don't give a fuck about the guy smiling in his pictures, show the him crying like a baby, let's also get a follow up after his cellmates find out why he's in.

That would be asking the police to actually be police. To intervene and stop a madman before something bad happens. Many police are killed in western countries every year for doing just that.

Some Khmer buy their police positions to make money. Putting their lives on the line for the public good is not part of the job description.

Someday Cambodian police might refuse bribes and do the thankless job that police all over the world do.

I was going to make a police report , but knew they wouldn’t go after him for absconding on a loan .
