For the past two and a half decades, I’ve lived in an alternate hinter-reality where normal social interaction would require me banging on folk’s doors at 1am, and other such nocturnal activities. Today I’m in KL, where we are further west, yet with a time zone very much in the other direction, and interacting with India which for reasons of its own chooses a halfway time zone. I’ve always loved that, as have various scheduling departments.
I lost track over the years, of how many times I received a 4am phone call from people who were adamant that it was actually 4pm based on what they saw on their computer screen Clearly, a flat earth would assist in a great many irrelevant inconveniences, though I’m not sure what A’Tuin’s thoughts are on the matter.

I’m very not sure that I live anywhere, these days. Just exist. Sometimes, I think I’m in a perverse Schrödinger experiment- when in my hotel box, I’m equally in a state of giving and not giving a damn.
