@BaltimoreJack ....when you put your passport country in, the required supporting documentation fields will be displayed, those with a red * next to them.are mandatory, and your application may be rejected or you'll get an email saying that you need to provide this or that. I have just been on the site and started the application putting USA as my country, and none of the supporting documentation fields were mandatory.

Let me know where you are from and I can answer your questions more accurately.

Travellers from African, South Asian & Middle Eastern countries regularly face extra scrutiny, and even discrimination, upon arrival. Immigration can, and do, often refuse entry to travellers from certain countries, often without giving a reason why.

Travellers from African, South Asian & Middle Eastern countries should ensure that they have their Visa in Advance, a return flight ticket, an accommodation booking, and a minimum $1000 USD cash on them, and if coming for employment, official proof of the employment from their employer, to improve their chances of being granted entry upon arrival, however, even having these will not guarantee entry, and many travellers are still denied entry.
Out of curiosity, I know that I, as an American can get a tourist evisa online without any documentation. I've just left the hotel booking, flight booking upload prompts blank.

What have you heard about applications for ordinary/business E-visas online Do Westerners get rejected if they don't have supporting documents from an employer? Do Africans and Indians get rejected for online tourist visas or E visas if they don't have supporting documents?
I've applied for several "ordinary" visas online, without any supporting documents. Without fail, they were issued within two days, the latest one last week. I'd prefer to get a multi-entry EoS again eventually, but since my stays are usually short, it's kind of hard to justify.

"Are you moving to Cambodia or visiting as a tourist for less than 30 days? What's your nationality? This will determine the visa you need and documentation that may be required."

I have stayed in Thailand for a few years and Vietnam for another 2 years or so. I am just another American old man looking to stretch my money. Over the years I have vacationed in central and south America, lived a couple of years in Albania but prefer the S/E Asian culture. To answer your question, I will have to say I don’t know. I may find Cambodia is my place to settle or I may have to move on. Don’t know. Life is funny that way.
Take care and thanks for asking.

If your primary goal is to stretch your money, Thailand and Vietnam are better suited than Cambodia. Like for like, with a few notable exceptions, you get a lot more for your dollars in those countries than in Cambodia. That's no reason not to explore Cambodia, of course, just don't expect it to be cheaper.

Indeed, they had a simple easy visa policy before the pandemic why trying to reinvent the wheel.
