Extend Tourist E visa for another 30 days...
The same routine as it was before 2020, correct? extent an E tourist visa for another 30 days at the immigration office across from the airport? does anyone have the address? Also i can get it the same day and cost $50 usd? Looks like ill be in Cambo for about 45 days total.
Re: Extend Tourist E visa for another 30 days...
Are you referring to a T-type (Tourist) e-Visa (electronic) Visa, or an E-type (Ordinary) Visa???
Either way, both can be extended for an extra month for $30/35 directly from the DoI Visa Office, or for $45-55 via a Visa agency, cheaper and less hassle to just use an agent as applying directly will involve 2x return trips out to near the airport (location link below).
Processing times depend on how busy the DoI Visa Office are....could be 3 days, could be up to 14 days, there is no standard processing time.
Same or next day processing will cost you an additional $70+, as long as your application is received by the expiry date of your current Visa then no overstay charges will be applied.

No, you cannot apply for an Extension of Stay online, only via a Visa Agency or directly at the DoI Visa Office in Pochentong.

Re: Extend Tourist E visa for another 30 days...
Let's say I'm an under age 55 "digital nomad" or unemployed foreigner who doesn't want to bother with the work permit/ordinary visa requirements . Can I live in Cambodia indefinitely on successive tourist visas, each one extended for 30 days, and making a "visa run" out of the country every two months before returning on a new tourist visa?PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 6:20 pm Are you referring to a T-type (Tourist) e-Visa (electronic) Visa, or an E-type (Ordinary) Visa???

Has there been any crackdown on that?

Yes you could do that, or just enter on an E-type (Ordinary) Visa and pay an agent extra to facilitate a 12 mth multi-entry EB (Business) EOS & WPBaltimoreJack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 4:48 amLet's say I'm an under age 55 "digital nomad" or unemployed foreigner who doesn't want to bother with the work permit/ordinary visa requirements . Re: Extend Tourist E visa for another 30 days...
As far as we know, is there no risk to living in Cambodia for years on end with a work permit arranged by an agent, without actually being employed?
Re: Extend Tourist E visa for another 30 days...
Very little risk as long as you don't draw attention to yourself with the authorities....one day in the distant future that may change, but for now that is exactly how a large percentage of foreigners stay in CambodiaBaltimoreJack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 10:12 pmAs far as we know, is there no risk to living in Cambodia for years on end with a work permit arranged by an agent, without actually being employed?

This is my plan, multi-entry, and spare me on having to relocate exactly at the end of 60 days or so, once i get a bit older and ready to settle down, im the same boat a little below retirement age, but in the no job category and dont want to or need to work in a given country, given that the cost of living in a place like southeast Asia is so low versus the USA.BaltimoreJack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 10:12 pmAs far as we know, is there no risk to living in Cambodia for years on end with a work permit arranged by an agent, without actually being employed?
