Cambodia News, (Prey Veng Province): Three men who were drinking and singing together happily had a verbal conflict that led to violence, when one of the men attacked another one with a machete.


At 17:15 on August 23, 2023, in Samaki village, Svay Plos commune, Peam Chor district, Prey Veng province, Long Chit, 25 years old, attacked Pov Virak, a 27-year-old male resident of the above-mentioned village, injuring him in three places on the head, shoulders and ears.

At the time and place of the above incident, Long Chit (suspect), Pov Virak (victim) and Ith Kly (the owner of the house) were having a friendly drink together and singing karaoke with their phones. But then Long Chit (suspect) wanted to sing, and he became very angry with Pov Virak because he would not let him sing, so he attacked him about the head with a machete. The victim was seriously injured and sent to hospital.

Immediately after receiving the above information, the police force of Peam Chor District Police Inspectorate intervened and arrested the suspect and brought him to Peam Chor District Police Inspectorate for questioning.
