Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A surprising incident unfolded at the PTT gas station along the Prey Sar concrete road in Prakar village, Sangkat Prey Sar, Khan Dangkor on August 14, 2023, at 1:20 PM. Two individuals were apprehended in the act of stealing a young woman's motorcycle, only to face the wrath of enraged villagers, resulting in significant swelling of their faces and mouths.



According to sources, the sequence of events began when a young student parked her black Honda Dream, bearing the license plate number 1IY-7038, at the gas station before heading out for some shopping. Shortly afterward, two suspects approached the motorcycle on a Honda Bit and attempted to carry out the theft. However, their nefarious intentions were thwarted when the victim raised an alarm, exposing them as thieves.

In a display of solidarity, local residents swiftly surrounded the suspects, delivering swift blows that left the perpetrators with noticeable facial swelling. In response to the commotion, authorities swiftly arrived at the scene and took the suspects into custody for questioning at the Prey Sar Administrative Police Station.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the theft of the young woman's motorcycle. Further investigation carried out by the criminal police of Dangkor district revealed that one of the apprehended culprits had a track record of previous offenses, including theft, robbery, and even an encounter involving the discharging of a firearm at law enforcement officials.

Both suspects currently remain in police custody at the Dangkor police station, as investigators diligently gather evidence to build a strong case worthy of prosecution in a court of law.
