Evangelicals are now rejecting 'liberal' teachings of Jesus

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

This whole post has nothing to do with Cambodia. It is just bait. But it is "relevant" and appropriate because John Bingham says it is.

No! Because it's in The Rest Of The World sub-forum.

Hardly 'bait,' as he couldn't have given it a more accurate title to describe what the article's about. :dm:
"Life is too important to take seriously."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

Nah. There is another group who would crucify Jesus again.

He's a popular dude, everyone wants to hang him on their wall.
I was raised Protestant so we had nice clean crosses. Catholic crucifixes freaked me out as a kid.
Are Catholic crucifixes the ones with an actual figure of Jesus on the cross, sometimes with blood flowing and everything?

If so I couldn't agree more, those things always make me think of Vlad the Impaler drinking wine from the skull of his enemy, Nazi concentration camp commanders wearing gloves made of human skin... that sort of thing. If an archeologist digs up a crucifix 30 thousand years in the future, after we bomb ourselves into oblivion in WW3 or something, they'd probably think we were blood-crazed nutters worshipping torture and death.

Off topic, but I never noticed that most Protestant churches didn't have a crucified figure on their crosses. I remember being at a Catholic cathedral in San Sebastian where they had a big statue of the martyred saint with about 20 arrows in it along with various other wounds. Another cathedral in Drogheda in Ireland I've been to has the shrunken blackened head of St Oliver Plunkett in a glass case. The Anglican (Protestant) church I sometimes went to in school had a very military theme with lots of bas reliefs of British soldiers and dedications to soldiers who died in WW1. We would also sing "Onward Christian soldiers" a lot!
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Who’s the bully here? You send me a private message stating that I am his little bitch because I am defending him. Not defending anyone, just posting like everyone else on here. Get a grip and hold on tight.

Did you send a PM to everyone who commented on your previous post?
