Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the night of 2 August,2023, special forces of the Anti-Drug Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police arrested 2 suspects and confiscated 58.848 kilograms of a variety of illegal drugs on Chhnach Chhnang Boulevard, Kob Srov Thom Village, Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh on August 2, 2023.


Police discovered 20 kilograms of ketamine in a suitcase in a Highlander car, and a further 10 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine hidden inside the body of the vehicle. The crystal meth was packaged in the trademark Chinese tea packets of 1 kilo, stamped with the seal of approval "very good".




Two suspects were arrested: 1. Name: An Rathany, male, 38 years old 2. Name: Phorn Sokun, male, 31 years old.

Then, on 3 August, 2023, in coordination with Banteay Meanchey and Battambang Provincial Police, the Anti-Drug forces searched and seized 10 kilograms of MDMA and another 28 kilos of an unspecified drug.

Police seized a total amount of illegal drugs weighing 58.848 kilograms. Currently, the suspects and exhibits have been sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to proceed with legal proceedings.
