Yup, Americans are violent nutters, on par with where you come from it seems.

Difference is that you have to go back to 2006(!) to make an example; in the US it seems enough to look at yesterday's papers......

Woman jailed for calling 911 four times to complain about manicure
A woman in Deltona, Florida who called 911 at least four times because she was upset about a bad manicure, was put in jail.

Volusia County authorities say Cynthia Colston got into a fight with a manicurist and was slightly injured with a nail clipper.

Colston says the dispute began when she refused to pay full price for nails that she felt had been cut too short. Officials say Colston made a series of calls to 911, even including one after a deputy had arrived to settle the situation.

There is outrage at Whataburger's decision to refuse to accept open-carry customers in their Texas restaurants.
Note to "normal" people: you can still take your gun to Whataburger if it is concealed. But these customers are "up in arms"(sorry) because Whataburger says they can't flash them around in the restaurant.
What is it with fastfood and guns? Does a burger taste better when you're packing - and when everyone can see that ?
(And could someone please call 911 to complain about the name "Whataburger" - I mean WTF.)

Burger-craving gun lovers are outraged over Whataburger’s policy against openly carrying firearms inside the fast food chain’s Texas restaurants.

The state will allow licensed gun owners to legally carry handguns in belt or shoulder holsters starting in January — although individual business owners will be allowed to ban weapons if they display signs that conform to strict rules on appearance, wording and text size.

The company’s president and CEO, Preston Atkinson, said he personally enjoys hunting and holds a concealed carry permit – but he said the restaurant’s customers have said they’re uncomfortable eating around others who are openly carrying rifles and pistols.
