Cambodia News, (Sihanoukville): On the night of 14 July 2023, a man driving a ROLLS ROYCE, with Cambodian license plate F.B.5678, accompanied by a woman from a restaurant on the seafront of Ochheuteal, accidentally crossed the road and hit an oncoming WINNER X motorcycle along Ochheuteal Beach Road in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.

The three people riding together on the motorbike were seriously injured in the accident. Police say that the incident occured because the driver of the Rolls Royce had been drinking alcohol and carelessly drove on to the wrong side of the road. The car just clipped the motorcycle, but it was speeding, and the impact knocked the three passengers off their vehicle. They were taken to hospital and the motorbike was taken away to the Traffic Office to be kept as evidence.

Funny how it's never a drunk behind the wheel of a Toyota Corolla or Suzuki Swift. Rolls-Royce? Ipso facto a Chinese driver. :stir:

Feel sorry for the motorcycle passengers.

At least moto didn't cause the accident because it was speeding. Every accident, EVERY SINGLE ONE, could be avoided by driving slower. Every day I see multiple, usually young local men driving through intersections at such speed that they have 0 chance to stop in time if they would have to.

The easy answer, trotted out time and again.
Overlooking other obvious answers which would need more discipline, such as-

Actually looking where you are going.
Using that swivel feature in one’s neck to look around you when approaching junctions, for instance.
Giving a shit about the next person.
Not watching YouTube while driving.

Obvious stuff.
