It seems that Brinkmann was hiding out at an "Outlaws" den in Bangkok, which lead the police directly to him.
On July 11, significant progress was made in the murder case of Hans Peter Mack. The police apprehended Brinkmann, who was wanted in Pattaya on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and intentional murder. After evading capture, he was found hiding in the Bangna area of Bangkok. Brinkmann was taken into custody and brought for questioning at the Nongprue Police Station where legal proceedings will follow.

In another matter, the prime suspect Olaf Thorsten Brinkmann is identified as the man who appears in both the two photos below.( Is he wearing a wig ?) :

Having evaded capture in Pattaya, Brinkmann was arrested in the Bangna area of Bangkok.

Police identified Olaf Thorsten Brinkmann as the person sitting on the pickup next to the freezer containing Mack’s dismembered body parts.

Where does this article name the dead German as being involved in this or am I missing something!
