Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The Criminal Police Department of the General Commission of the National Police of the Ministry of Interior said that on July 9, 2023 at 13:40, Brigadier General But Vannarath,leading a professional patrol along Street 310 in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Phnom Penh, received an alert regarding 3 suspects riding 2 motorcycles, who seized a backpack from a French woman.

Immediately, the specialized force chased down and arrested the three suspects in possession of the stolen backpack in front of the gate of Wat Sansom Kosal, Street 271, and took them in for questioning.

The confiscated items are:
1. White Honda Scope with license plate number 1AO-8131 (of the suspect).
2. Black Honda Dream motorcycle with license plate Phnom Penh 1KF-1999 (of the suspect).
3. Black backpack (of the victim).

A department official returned the bag to the original owner, who was pleased to recover her belongings.
Currently, the specialized force is interrogating the suspects and building a case to be sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to handle the procedure.
