Typical Khmer kid’s birthday party. Party is pretty much for the glorification of the adults, the poor kid gets nothing meaningful out of it.
Been to the village version. It was all an excuse for the adults to party. I felt sorry for the kid.
Just my opinion, of course.

Living in the village here, birthday parties are the same as we 'd have in Europe : kids have fun first, then come the gifts and cake, and the party really starts after that with music, dance (and alcohol for adults, family and friends, of course). Kids always enjoy it !newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 7:48 am Typical Khmer kid’s birthday party. The face of the kid in the picture tells an other story...
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

BUT looking at the kids pic, she doesn't seem like she is having the best of times LOL
B parties for all kids till they hit 4-5 are always about the parents
