7 Thais Busted for Drug Trafficking in Poipet
Anti-Drug Police Send 7 Thai Suspects In Drug Trafficking Case To Provincial Court
Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On 6 July 2023, the police force of the Anti-Drug Bureau arrested 7 Thai suspects, including 1 woman, along with exhibits, and prepared a case to be sent to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court for processing.
According to the report of Brigadier General Thin Sindeth, Deputy Commissioner for Drug Crimes, on 3 July 2023 at 11:00am, following a report of a gunshot in Mittapheap Village, Poipet, the Poipet City Police Inspectorate was sent to investigate. Seven Thai nationals were apprehended and found to be in possession of a variety of illegal drugs.
1. Name: Kitti Jung Sum But, male, 23 years old
2. Name: Sina Kit Songviphon, male, 26 years old
3. Name: Sit Navuth, Sinnatra, Thol Nakol, Male, 27 years old
4. Name: Chan Chhorn Sothipapa, male, 23 years old
5. Name: Phira Phat Sieksat, male, 20 years old
6. Name: Dichakit Samphan, male, 30 years old, and
7. Name: Nida Suth Seng, female, 27 years old.
The drugs seized were:
1. Black pills with a rectangular shape, suspected Methamphetamine (weighing 5.59 grams, pure).
2. Green pills with a rectangular shape, suspected to be Methamphetamine, 8 pills, weighing 3.44 grams, pure.
3. Purple tablets with R (RR), suspected to be Ketamine, 20 tablets weighing 6.2 grams, pure, and .17 grams of pure medicine (possibly fentanyl).
4. Green tablets with the letters FRIMIN5, suspected to be Ecstasy, 5 tablets.
5. 3 bags of Ketamine weighing 3.82 grams (pure).
6. 8 scales for weighing drugs.
7. Carrot-colored tablets containing 25 bags of WY letters, equal to 440 tablets, weighing 39.60 grams (pure).
8. 22 tablets (unknown type).
9. 4 passports.
10. 3 Thai ID cards.
11. 52 bottles of ALLERGIN ink.
12. 16 mobile phones.
