I see that sort of handgun all the time, the most noticeable thing is the star on these Chinese crap guns, but a lot of different models have that. That model actually got a very good rating for accuracy at short range and reliability. It's still $500 in the US, so likely way more here. The cost of a decent sidearm like a Beretta in the kingdom is ridiculously high. $3000 etc for something nice.

Authorities in Kandal province are searching for a police officer who shot his neighbor 14 times during a birthday party in Ang Snuol district on Saturday night, killing him instantly, officials said Sunday.
According to district police chief Hang Chanda, 40 people were at the party in Lomhach commune, including five children, when Tim Sary, 35, allegedly unloaded his Chinese-made CF 98 pistol into Srey Chanvuthy, 43, at about 10 p.m.
https://www.cambodiadaily.com/news/offi ... ing-87343/Mr. Chamroeun said Mr. Sary’s wife, Chin Chankrisna, 28, confirmed that her husband served as both a police officer and a personal bodyguard, adding that investigators were trying to find out more about his police position and employer.

I've never been able to take more than ten shots at a party.

A Minister of the Interior bodyguard no less. Probably also one of their best sharpshooters.

Re: A man shot 15 times in a birthday party
people miss the point... Why did he shoot 15 X ? Did he work as a bodyguard? Was this his friend?
This is just a classic case of the tipping-point and the Asian brain soaked in booze. This happens in the Philippines all the time. Guy kills his buddy over a cell phone load (borrow minutes) or shitty karaoke! So, if this is an Asian thing, why does it not happen as much in Thailand and Vietnam? Simple, the binge drinking is not as common - and the lack of guns amongst the working folk.
