Rambutan Deliverer Killed Crossing Road
Cambodia News (Mondulkiri Province): A traffic accident occurred between two motorcycles, causing one man to die, and another to be seriously injured at 8:05 AM on 1 July 2023, at the point between km 64-65, National Road 376 in O'Am village, Sre Khtom commune, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province. One of the motorcyclists cut across the road in front of on-coming traffic and was hit by another motorcycle.
Sources from the traffic authority of Keo Seima District Inspectorate reported that a 40-year-old Cambodian farmer named Van Chrum, who currently lives in O'Am village, Sre Khtom commune, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province, was seriously injured in the accident and unfortunately, he died in the middle of the road. He was riding a recycled motorcycle without a license plate and without a helmet. The eyewitnesses claim that the accident was caused by the motorcyclist who was carrying rambutan across the road to a shop and was not careful when he suddenly crossed into the traffic.
The second victim is Prean Dalin, a 30-year-old Khmer worker from Boeng Cheng Village, Stung Leu Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province.
Currently, the body of the deceased has been handed over to the relatives and family for a traditional ceremony, and the other party has been sent to Mondulkiri Provincial Referral Hospital for treatment. The vehicles in the accident have been stored at the Keo Seima District Police Inspectorate for later resolution.

The assumption that ‘the other fella won’t hit me’, which seems to form most defensive driving strategy in the region.canucklhead wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 11:31 amYa that and the sudden uturn.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2023 5:51 pm How many times have we all seen that accident ALMOST happen when someone cuts across the road without looking ?
