Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Mr. Sam Rithy Veasna, Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, on June 27, 2023, opened an investigation into two Vietnamese drug dealers, accused of the trafficking and illegal storage of more than 7 kg of drugs in Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh.


On June 24, 2023, following the orders of the National Police Commissioner General,the Anti-Drug Crimes Squad Expertise (A10) led by Brigadier General Yim Sen Udom operated simultaneous raids on two targeted locations in Phnom Penh in search of a large cargo of illegal drugs.
The first goal was in Borey Boeung Chhouk, Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh. The second target was in another Borey in Boeung Chhouk village, Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh.

In the above two locations, the police seized the following exhibits:
- 790.93 grams of methamphetamine
- 3215.05 g of MDMA
- 3,640 grams of heroin
In total, all the drugs weighed 7 kilograms and 645 grams.
Two Vietnamese suspects were maintained in detention, one named Nguyen Teang Minh and the other named Nguyen Van Nung.

On 27 June 2023, the case file was sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court according to the procedure.
