Re: Tourism Statistics
So taking away the 850K Thais and 350K Vietnamese there was only around 1M other foreigners. Taking away the Chinese and Lao even less than 1M. NOT really a lot.rogerrabbit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 1:46 pm 2022 tourism statistics:

Cambodia Earns over US$2 Billion from Tourism in 2022
AKP Phnom Penh, June 22, 2023 --
Cambodia's tourism sector generated a total revenue of US$2,065 million last year.
This figure was shared by the Ministry of Tourism in a report made public during a recapitulative meeting held here at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel yesterday, adding that it represents 3.6 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Of the total amount, the report said, US$1,415 million were earned by international tourism, and US$650 million by domestic tourism.
According to the report, Cambodia recorded some 2.28 million foreign arrivals in 2022, an increase by 1,058.6 percent over the previous year, and 13.93 million domestic tourists, up 198.8 percent, creating 320,000 jobs for the locals.
For the first five months of this year, the country welcomed more than 2.1 million international visitors, a year-on-year growth of 530 percent, and around 10 million internal tourists.
The Kingdom is expected to attract some 4.5 million foreign tourists and at least 16 million domestic tourists in 2023.
In 2019, the pre-pandemic era, about 6.6 million international tourists visited the Kingdom, generating US$4.92 billion in revenue that contributed 12.1 percent to the country's GDP.

26 int’l carriers run 844 flights in Cambodia: aviation official
25 June 2023
A total of 26 international airlines were operating 844 flights to or from Cambodia each week as of end-May – counting those inbound and outbound separately – most of which are intra-ASEAN, according to State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) undersecretary of state Sinn Chanserey Vutha.
Phnom Penh accounted for the majority of the flights at 634 or 75.12 per cent, followed by Siem Reap (196; 23.22%) and Sihanoukville (22; 2.61%), he said, adding that 43 airlines were operating in Cambodia in 2019 prior to the pandemic, excluding those solely running charter services.
“The civil aviation sector is improving from month to month,” Chanserey Vutha said, mentioning Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur as notable international destinations to and from the Kingdom.
“At the same time, we anticipate that there’ll soon be additional flights between Cambodia and China,” he added.
