Svay Rieng Policeman Shot Himself

Cambodia News, (Svay Rieng): A police officer was upset because he had a physical illness and decided to end his life by shooting himself in the car at 7:30 pm on June 18, 2023, at his home in Chob Pring village,Svay Rieng province.

The deceased man, Sao Tith Rina, 36 years old, was a police officer with the rank of colonel and lived in the village where the incident took place.

According to Sao Saman, his 62-year-old father also living in the house, his son had been suffering from a chronic illness for many years, and then on the evening of June 18, 2023, he heard the sound of a gunshot. The family ran outside to see that the officer had shot himself with a pistol and was lying dead in the car.

A doctor carried out an examination of the body and concluded that the deceased died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
