Re: Cooking oil
Soy oil is definitely around 2x the price of palm vegetable oil
It's probably at least twice less harmful, too

Re: Cooking oil
There are many folks out there who care more for the engine oil they use (i.e. buying the "expensive" stuff) but dont care about the oil they use for feeding themselves (i.e. buying the cheapest stuff).
I am blessed to buy local olive oil from a friend and happy to pay 14$ for the good stuff.

Re: Cooking oil
Dont cook with seed oils if you value your health
Re: Cooking oil
Yeah ... Thought about using palm but never used it before. From what ive read similar to peanut oil and good for frying and less odor.
Ill give it a shot after i finish up my 5l oil.. need to find a promo for palm though, dont see it in the bug supermarkets or maybe they justt hid it away from the expensive stuff

I wonder where those trees would grow locally.truffledog wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 6:13 pm There are many folks out there who care more for the engine oil they use (i.e. buying the "expensive" stuff) but dont care about the oil they use for feeding themselves (i.e. buying the cheapest stuff).

Olive oil & butter all the way, groundnut oil at a push.

Re: Cooking oil
Is this already in motion in Kow ?
Interesting alternative from the big brother up north, for those on a budget
Well of course one would need proper sewers, which i'm not sure about in PP, but maybe in SHV if functional ?
