Dead Woman (Korean Vlogger) Dumped on Roadside was Medical Clinic Victim
Cambodia News, (Kandal Province): This morning, on June 6, 2023, some villagers found the dead body of a woman who had been killed, wrapped in a mat, and dumped in a drain by the side of the road in Borey Kaing Meng, in Chhmar Puon village, Cheung Keb commune, Kandal Steung district, Kandal province.
The authorities of Kandal Stung District, in cooperation with the local authorities, were called to the scene, and the preliminary port-mortem examination revealed that the body was that of a Chinese adult woman who had been beaten to death; her neck was broken and the body was covered in bruises.
Experts confirmed that the body of the victim was indeed beaten to death by the killer or killers, and then transported to the spot in the mat, and dropped into the drain to hide the evidence.
Meanwhile, the specialized forces of the Kandal Stung District Police Inspectorate, in cooperation with the criminal force of the Kandal Provincial Commissioner and the Provincial Armed Forces, are conducting an investigation into this brutal murder case and they are searching for any witnesses who may have seen any strangers in the area, or possibly the vehicle used to transport the body.

Woman's Body Found Dumped on Roadside was Medical Clinic Victim
UPDATE
It has been a bad week for strange and grizzly murders reported here, but this case presents an unexpected twist. A woman's body was found by the road in the Cambodian countryside, wrapped in a mat. The case had all the hallmarks of a Chinese mafia killing and disposal. After all, the woman victim was presumed to be of Chinese nationality, and as such, was perhaps a victim of sex-trafficking, a hostage, or a cyberslave who was punished.
But no, the woman has now been identified by Cambodian police as a South Korean national, and they say that she was the victim of an unscrupulous medical clinic in Phnom Penh. She died, presumably accidentally, while being operated on by charletans, who then disposed of her body, evidence of their negligence. Read on:
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Cambodian police have arrested a Chinese couple, the owners of a Phnom Penh medical clinic, who took the body of a Korean patient who died in their clinic, wrapped it in a mat, and disposed of it in a drain in Kandal Province.
On June 6, 2023, a villager found the body of the unidentified woman wrapped in a mat and dumped in a ditch in Borey Kang Meng in Chhmar Puon village, Cheung Keb commune, Kandal Stung district. It was first believed that she was of Chinese nationality.
However, at the direction of His Excellency General Dr. Neth Savoeung, National Police Commissioner, the Criminal Police Department together with forensic specialists, led the local police forces in a full investigation into the circumstances of the crime.
After identifying the woman victim as Korean national BJ AH YOUNG, the criminal police then tracked down the woman's last whereabouts; she was last seen checking into a Chinese "medical" clinic located at Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Phnom Penh, which is owned and run by a Chinese couple. Following police questioning, the couple, LAI WENSHAO, male, aged 30, and CAI HUIJUAN, female, 39 years old, confessed that the Korean woman,BJ AH YOUNG, had died in their clinic .
The two suspects confessed that on June 4, 2023, at 5:54 pm, the victim, BJ AH YOUNG, a 33-year-old Korean woman, who was admitted to their clinic, suddenly died of seizures after she was injected with two drops of SHENG LI YAN SHUI serum.
When the owners saw that the patient was dead, they wrapped the victim's body in a red mat, tied it up, and put it in the trunk of a Prius car (plate no. Phnom Penh 2BR-9717), and drove down National Road 2, where they removed the mat with the body and threw it in the sewer in Chhma Puon village, Cheung Keb commune, Kandal Steung district, Kandal province.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department are building a case to send the two suspects to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.

What of the initial expert conclusions of a murder, rather than negligence, then? Were these injuries post mortem, or is there a gaping hole in the report which seems overly concerned with the mat and the dumping?CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 12:34 am The authorities of Kandal Stung District, in cooperation with the local authorities, were called to the scene, and the preliminary port-mortem examination revealed that the body was that of a Chinese adult woman who had been beaten to death; her neck was broken and the body was covered in bruises.

A very short google search of shengliyanshui indicates a saline drip. Serum; The catch all word for ‘don’t question the doctors’, based on perceptions of how important it is, and rarely is administered even close to amateurishly, let alone professionally.
So, some other Chinese herbal remedy for some other unwanted condition, unwillingly?
Warrants a much closer look, to be frank.

A Chinese couple has been arrested by the Cambodian police on suspicion of murder after the body of a female live streamer of Korean nationality was found near Phnom Penh, officials and reports said Sunday.
The woman in her 30s was found dead on June 6, wrapped in a blanket and dumped in a pond, according to Cambodian newspaper Rasmei Kampuchea Daily. Local villagers discovered her body and alerted the police.
The Cambodian police soon identified the victim as a Korean woman with over 250,000 followers on social media. She had announced her retirement from her live streaming career last year.
The Cambodian authorities arrested the Chinese couple in their 30s who own a hospital as the suspects in her murder. The couple reportedly told the police that the victim died after receiving treatment at the hospital on June 4.
The police suspect the couple to have disposed of the victim's body to avoid punishment.
The cause of her death remained undetermined as of Sunday noon. The Cambodian police are still waiting for the autopsy report.
The Korean police said they have requested that the Cambodian police do a thorough investigation of the case.
While the identity of the live streamer has been officially withheld, social media users are speculating the victim as BJ Ah Young***, who was a popular streamer on AfreecaTV, one of South Korea's biggest live streaming service platforms, prior to her retirement last year.

***The victim was identified as a BJ, short for "broadcast jockey," a term used in Korea to refer to a person that films themselves talking, eating, or playing games on live broadcasting websites such as YouTube, Twitch or Afreeca TV, who had been traveling in Cambodia.

Fucking hell, I knew many clinics here weren't all that great but this is a new low. Appalling.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Re: Dead Woman (Korean Vlogger) Dumped on Roadside was Medical Clinic Victim
Now I am confused.
Initial reports stated she had been beaten with multiple bruises and a broken neck.
Now it’s death by magic serum injection. IV medicines usually don’t cause broken necks nor beating bruises. Being wrapped in a carpet would have further protected the body after death.
Maybe South Korea should send their own forensics team. And Crime Scene Investigation Unit as well. To actually figure out what happened.
And hurry before the body is cremated and the clinic disappears.
